I was responding to a comment on another blog when I saw this Google Adsense advertisement right below the post:
I was puzzled that even with the millions of people already on Facebook, they are still advertising. The ad appeared on a blog post about Facebook, so, I’m sure that whoever wanted to read it already has a Facebook account.
I was surprised that they’re still advertising, let alone on Google Adsense, and the ad is not even about businesses starting their own Facebook page, but an invitation to create a Facebook profile.
I’m left wondering because almost everyone I know has a Facebook account. Do you know anyone who’s not yet on Facebook?
I have a friend who chose not to have Facebook account because she doesn’t want anymore stalkers – this after having bad experience with an old social networking site.
That’s one valid (and scary) reason not to use social media sites.
